Garlic Buttered Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 4 tablespoons butter

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes

- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

- Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Shrimp: Ensure the shrimp are peeled, deveined, and patted dry with a paper towel. This helps them brown nicely.

2. Melt Butter and Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

3. Cook Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become rubbery.

4. Add Wine and Lemon Juice: If using, pour the white wine into the skillet. Let it simmer for about a minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the lemon juice and stir to combine.

5. Season and Garnish: Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in the parsley flakes.

6. Serve: Transfer the garlic buttered shrimp to a serving bowl. Serve hot, and enjoy!
