strawberry buttermilk pound cake

Steps to making the cake:

Make sure that your butter, eggs, buttermilk are room temperature. I preheat my oven to 325, cream my butter and sugar, and strawberry Jello mix 5-7 minutes, add eggs one at a time, add my extracts after beating eggs, start and end with flour, add 1 cup of flour mix, then add half of the buttermilk, and repeat until all items are mixed. If you are a beginner I would suggest watching a YouTube video to get the basic down to help.

Ingredients:

3 sticks of butter (salted or unsalted your preference)

3 cups of sugar

3 oz box of Jello mix

1 tsp of vanilla, 2 tsp of strawberry extract (or emulsion if you prefer)

5 eggs

3 cups of all purpose flour and add 1 tsp of baking powder (cake flour if that’s your preference) I sift my flour

1 cup of buttermilk

Glaze

I use powdered sugar, milk, and extract and I’m sorry I just pour, but taking a guess I would say 1 1/2-2 cups of powdered sugar, a few tablespoons of milk until you get the consistency you would like, and 1 tsp of extract you can use both.
