Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced

- 1 medium head cabbage, chopped

- 2 tablespoons soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

- 1 tablespoon cooking oil

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon ground ginger

- 1/2 cup beef broth

- 1/4 cup oyster sauce (optional)

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Beef: In a bowl, mix the beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.

2. Sauté Aromatics: Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

4. Cook the Cabbage: Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry until it begins to wilt and becomes slightly tender. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

5. Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the cabbage. Add the beef broth and oyster sauce (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

6. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for another 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
