Ingredients:
• 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
• 1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1-inch ginger, minced
• 2 tablespoons cooking oil
• Optional: 1 red chili, thinly sliced, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and white pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
2. Prepare Ingredients: Chop the cabbage and set aside. Mince the garlic and ginger. If using, slice the red chili.
3. Stir-Fry Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
4. Stir-Fry Cabbage: Add the remaining tablespoon of cooking oil to the wok. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry until fragrant. Add the chopped cabbage and stir-fry until it starts to soften.
5. Combine and Season: Return the cooked beef to the wok with the cabbage. Add the remaining tablespoon of soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir-fry everything together until well combined and the cabbage is cooked to your desired tenderness.
6. Serve: Garnish with sliced red chili, if desired. Serve the stir-fry hot with rice or noodles.
