Ingredients:
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beef: In a bowl, mix beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
2. Blanch Broccoli: Steam or blanch broccoli florets for about 3-5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
3. Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
4. Stir-Fry Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
5. Sauté Aromatics: Add garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
6. Combine and Simmer: Add broccoli and beef back to the skillet. Pour the sauce over the mixture and simmer until the sauce thickens.
7. Serve: Serve hot over cooked white rice.
