Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) pork tenderloin or pork shoulder, sliced into thin strips
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for marinating)
1 tablespoon sesame oil (for cooking)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 small head of broccoli, cut into florets
1 carrot, julienned
1 cup baby corn, cut in half
½ cup snow peas or green beans, trimmed
For the sauce:
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce (optional for sweetness)
½ cup chicken broth or water
1 teaspoon cornstarch (for thickening)
½ teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Marinate the Pork:
In a bowl, combine pork strips with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce (if using), chicken broth, cornstarch, and sugar. Set aside.
Cook the Pork:
Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the marinated pork for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Veggies:
In the same pan, add garlic and onions. Stir-fry until fragrant. Add carrots, baby corn, and broccoli first (they take longer to soften). After 2 minutes, add bell peppers and snow peas. Stir for another 2–3 minutes.
Combine Everything:
Return the pork to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well until everything is evenly coated and the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve Hot:
Enjoy with steamed rice or noodles for a hearty, colorful meal.
Optional Add-ins:
Add chili flakes or sliced red chili for a spicy kick.
Replace pork with chicken, beef, or tofu if you prefer.
